CLIENT SUGGESTIONS

We stayed here for a week at the end of May 2007. The hotel is in a very peaceful rural setting about 20 minutes south east of Ciutadella along a quiet narrow road. A car would be essential. The buildings have been beautfully restored, with lots of exposed stone and typical Spanish floor tiles throughout. There's a lovely covered terrace with basket-work furniture overlooking the pool where you can have meals or just sit on a sofa. The rooms are fine, reasonably spacious with good bathrooms and excellent water pressure. The friendliness, service and cleanliness are exemplary.Breakfast was perfect for us, good choice of cold meats and cheese (the jamon serrano particularly good), occasionally fruit salad. Fruit, croissants, pastries, hard boiled eggs, some cereals etc.Dinner was variable, some dishes excellent (fish soup, a fruit salad that was more of a fruit platter, bursting with flavour), others only average (stuffed aubergine). There are also platters of local ham, cheese or pate which make a good evening meal when you've had a copious lunch of fish at the seaside! We didn't find dinner a problem - we looked at the daily menu and if we liked the look of it booked in, otherwise we had one of the platters or ate out in Ciutadella where there are plenty of good places to eat. All in all a lovely spot which we would thoroughly recommend and we would happily go back for another week.
